The CleanEnviro Summit Singapore (CESG) Catalyst 2023 will take place on 7 June 2023, in partnership with Ecosperity Week 2023. It is a by-invitation-only event for senior industry leaders to convene and confer on the theme of ‘Towards a Low Carbon and Just Transition’.

Participants will be able to glean insights into the key takeaways from COP 27, and discuss the challenges and adequacy of enablers for Singapore’s net zero drive and green transition in the workforce. Inputs from CESG Catalyst 2023 will be further explored at CESG 2024.

  • Launch of the Enviro Tech Innovation Hub (ETIH@TP)
  • Just Transition – Transforming the Workforce for the Green Economy
More companies across sectors are starting to adopt environmentally sustainable practices and develop sustainability targets for compliance and reporting. While these have opened up opportunities, they have also revealed the need to transform the workforce. This session will discuss the skills needed for the transition and what measures can be taken to build up the workforce for the Green Economy while ensuring that the transition is fair and equitable.

Ms Loh Gek Khim, Director, Industry Development Division 1, SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
Dr Pradeep Philip, Lead Partner, Deloitte Access Economics
  • Enabling Singapore’s Net Zero Drive
Enabling Singapore’s net zero drive will entail one of our biggest economic transformations. Given the rising cost of doing businesses, seeking ways to optimise costs through decarbonisation initiatives makes good financial sense for companies. This session explores how private and public sectors come together to support the development of sustainable and transition finance and what climate finance initiatives are available to help businesses decarbonise.

Mr Eric Lim, Chief Sustainability Officer, United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB)
  • Focus Group Discussions
  • Networking Tea Break
  • Transparency as the Foundation of a Successful Net Zero Transition
As more investors in both public and private assets insist on greater sustainability, a need for consistent, shared disclosure and reporting standards has arisen. Transparency can help build trust among stakeholders and improve a company’s reputation and sustainability performance. This session will discuss the importance of climate-related financial disclosures and frameworks that can help companies better manage their sustainability reporting.

Ms Yeo Lian Sim, Special Adviser Diversity, Singapore Exchange (SGX)
Ms Fang Eu-Lin, Sustainability and Climate Change Practice Leader, PwC Singapore and Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA)’s Chairperson of Sustainability and Climate Change Committee (SCCC)
