#ICYMI: At the latest edition of Ecosperity Conversations titled, 'Turning Climate Risk into Opportunity', panellists discussed key findings from 'Pricing Climate Risks in Asia', a report by the Center for Green Finance Research, Tsinghua National Institute of Financial Research. Autonomous Environmental Service Vehicle

Walking around the #CESG Environment Expo? Don’t forget to check out the booth by the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Enway Pte Ltd! On display is their Autonomous Environmental Service Vehicle, which is in its second phase of development.

Wastewater Surveillance Programme

Another project on display at the National Environment Agency (NEA) Innovation Pavilion is the Wastewater Surveillance Programme developed by NEA, which screens wastewater samples for the SARS-CoV-2 virus (the causative agent of COVID-19) shed by infected individuals through their stools or respiratory discharges. This helped with the early detection of COVID-19 cases in the community, and has supported Singapore’s responses to the pandemic through several waves of COVID-19 resurgences.

#DidYouKnow that it is possible to sort the different types of lithium-ion batteries based on their cell chemistry for more efficient recycling? Find out how the team from the NTU Singapore-CEA Alliance for Research in Circular Economy (SCARCE) have developed green chemical processes to sort e-waste efficiently, recycle silicon-based solar panels, recover precious metals from lithium-ion batteries and printed circuit boards, as well as detoxify and recycle the toxic plastics in e-waste. Gaussian Robotics Pte Ltd

Spotted at the #CESG Environment Expo: A smart-looking, tie-wearing robot that can clean and conduct security surveillance! Head on over to the National Environment Agency (NEA) Innovation Pavilion to check out the 2-in-1 Cleaning and Surveillance Robot, developed by Gaussian Robotics Pte Ltd.
