The Youth Environment Leaders Immersion Programme is part of NEA’s Youth for Environmental Sustainability (YES) movement, which supports youth interest in the environment and sustainability fields. The YES movement aims to build strong knowledge about Singapore’s sustainability challenges amongst youth, nurture future environmental leaders, and engage young individuals more effectively, to create sustained and meaningful impact.
Expo Tour
Youth participants will have the opportunity to join guided tours which are specially curated for the Environment Expo, aimed at enhancing their understanding of the Environmental Services industry. These tours offer opportunities to learn more about innovative solutions, as well as interact and network with industry professionals. This experience will not only help broaden their knowledge but also nurture them as potential future innovators and leaders in the sustainability landscape.
Cross-pollination
The cross-pollination segment of the programme brings together youth leaders to showcase their innovations and prototypes, exchange ideas with their peers, and foster networks to champion sustainability. In 2024, Youth Leaders hailing from various initiatives under the YES movement, such as the NEA YES Leaders Programme, DBS Foundation – NEA Hungry for Change Challenge, and Youth Corp Leaders Programme - NEA YES Edition, will share their sustainability projects with fellow participants.
Conversation
Youths will also have the opportunity to engage with an elected office holder from the Ministry of Environment and Sustainability on topics such as green citizenry, the Singapore Green Plan 2030, and Sustainable Living.
